It's Both Me and You

Well I can't be the only one who feels this way.
 
This goes also for shounen-ai, slash, BL (boy's love), or anything else you want to call it because people seem to be sketchy on what exactly is what, and I'm preferring to them all as whole. 

For the love part it's simple, I can't help what turns me on, and yaoi does that for me, it's sexy but the hate part is a bit more complicated such as:

The seme/uke set up with which is actually rather insulting to male homosexual relationships in general, yes in any relationship one person is going to be more dominate/submissive than the other, but most relationships (healthy ones at least) have some give and take between the pair, they don't usually have a set dom or a set sub (unless your 50 Shades of Grey but that's a topic for another stamp)

Liking yaoi does not make you progressive! Yes, you can like yaoi and support gay rights, heck I know some gay men that like yaoi, but the two should never coincide, if you think real gay men act just like your precious bishies and that's the only reason you support them then you're not really supporting them, in fact you're harming them, as many gay men and women don't get proper portrayals as it is.

There's probably a lot more I can say but I'll end it here, if there's anyone else that finds themselves attracted to yaoi but doesn't like it's repercussions then this is for you.
